Common questions

What does PX ↔ REM Calculator do?

Convert CSS px and rem using a root font size you provide, locally in your browser.

Who is it for?

For developers and technical teams.

How do I use it?

Enter a nonnegative source value, choose CSS px or rem and supply the root font size in CSS px for the page you mean. A root of 16px is only an example, not a universal rule. Use a decimal period in either language. Source must be 0–10,000; root must be 4–96px. The CSS-ready result has at most six decimals and is marked approximate if rounded. A nonzero value too small to display is rejected. Copy or download the text report. CSS px are not physical display pixels; converting units does not certify accessibility.

Is it free?

Yes. It is free and does not require an account.

Is my data uploaded?

No. This tool processes content locally in your browser, including selected image files. Only the tool used, language and date are recorded.
