Forecasting
Qvicom forecasting polls arrive in Phase 4. They are ours, not Polymarket’s, and there is no money in them.
How they will work
- Each question states its resolution criteria, evidence sources, and the exact closing time.
- You submit a prediction with a confidence level and an optional explanation.
- Answers are timestamped and cannot be edited after the deadline — the server clock decides, not the browser.
- When a question resolves, the evidence and the decision are published, and accuracy is scored over time.
- Points and badges only. No cash, no tokens, no entry fee, no purchase necessary.
Different from a market
A prediction market prices an outcome continuously. A Qvicom poll asks people to commit to a view and be scored on it. The two are unrelated: a Qvicom poll never affects, and is never affected by, a Polymarket resolution.
Why keep a record
A forecaster who cannot be scored is a forecaster who cannot be wrong. Publishing the record is the point.
